Change 4U | Safer Futures Programme

Change 4U Behaviour Change is a domestic abuse programme which provides one to one session and optional group support to adults who display abusive behaviour within their intimate relationships. We offer support to anyone who recognises they may have unhealthy ways of dealing with relationships.

The aim is to support and protect people whose lives are adversely affected by domestic abuse. Our programme provides guidance to build positive relationship habits in a safe and confidential environment.

What does the programme involve?

The programme offers a structured educational programme which seeks to challenge detrimental beliefs and behaviours and re-educate clients to acquire appropriate beliefs and behaviours so that they can develop respectful and responsible attitudes towards others and themselves.

The programme also provides a wide range of support to partners and ex-partners to enhance good safety outcomes for families.

Eligibility

Willingness to openly participate and engage in all sessions

Bring content to every session

Hold a level of responsibility for any abuse they have caused

Agreement to a strict code of conduct provided at assessment, which includes a commitment to doing no harm or abuse from there onwards

Clients will be declined if they are currently being investigated for any abusive behaviour within their relationship or towards anyone outside of the relationship, including the public; or if they have a historical schedule one offence against children, but this is reviewed on a case-by-case basis
