What does the programme involve?
The programme offers a structured educational programme which seeks to challenge detrimental beliefs and behaviours and re-educate clients to acquire appropriate beliefs and behaviours so that they can develop respectful and responsible attitudes towards others and themselves.
The programme also provides a wide range of support to partners and ex-partners to enhance good safety outcomes for families.
Eligibility
- Willingness to openly participate and engage in all sessions
- Bring content to every session
- Hold a level of responsibility for any abuse they have caused
- Agreement to a strict code of conduct provided at assessment, which includes a commitment to doing no harm or abuse from there onwards
- Clients will be declined if they are currently being investigated for any abusive behaviour within their relationship or towards anyone outside of the relationship, including the public; or if they have a historical schedule one offence against children, but this is reviewed on a case-by-case basis
