Training for Professionals

Delivered by Barnardo’s, as part of the Safer Futures service in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, we provide Domestic Abuse Training for Professionals. These courses build confidence, deepen understanding, and strengthen the skills needed to provide effective, informed support.

The courses are split into three levels of training related to your existing knowledge and area of domestic abuse: Foundational, Expanded and Specialist. Please read the overview of the three levels below and click through to each level’s courses for more information and to book online…

Our Training Courses

Level One:

Foundational Knowledge

For anyone living and working in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who wishes to gain foundational knowledge in Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence.

Level One courses

Level Two:

Expanded Knowledge

For professionals in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who work with children, families and individuals and require expanded knowledge in Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence.

Level Two courses

Level Three:

Specialist Knowledge

For professionals in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly who manage risk and work directly with survivors or those engaging in harm and require specialist knowledge in this area.
