The SUsie Programme is a safe, supportive space for adults who have left an abusive relationship and feel ready to focus on their future. Our approach is trauma‑informed, compassionate and rooted in empowerment. We provide weekly Domestic Abuse support groups, offering a non‑judgemental space where individuals can connect with others who understand, learn at their own pace, and begin to rebuild their sense of safety and wellbeing.
Spending time in group to understand how trauma might have affected behaviours, including the impact on both mind and body, are important steps that participants are encouraged to take on their recovery journey. Sessions are offered across various locations in Cornwall, or online through Zoom.
After completing a support group, clients are invited to join our 12‑week, strengths‑based Recovery Tool Kit (RTK). This programme supports long‑term recovery by increasing understanding about domestic abuse, whist building confidence, resilience and protective strategies that enable individuals to move forward with strength.
